The Cancún Challenge is a preseason tournament organized by Triple Crown Sports which features eight NCAA Division I men’s basketball teams. Since 2009, there are eight games played in the United States and eight games played at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancún, Mexico. Teams are separated into two divisions, the Riviera and Mayan, with the winner of the Riviera bracket named tournament champion. Because of a scheduling conflict, the 2010 tournament was played at the Aventura Palace in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The 2011 event will return to the Moon Palace Resort in Cancún, Mexico.
